INFORMATION ON DATA PROTECTION
SIMON ANDREEA – LAW FIRM – a member of the Cluj County Bar Association, with its registered office in Cluj-Napoca, I.P. Voitești Street 1-3, Building D, Staircase 4, Apartment 62, Cluj County, represented by lawyer Simon Andreea – informs you of the following upon the conclusion of contract no. CJ/0794069/2023, dated 06.07.2023:
1. We comply with legal provisions regarding the protection of personal data and implement technical and organizational measures to protect all operations involving personal data, preventing unauthorized or unlawful data processing, as well as accidental or unlawful data loss and destruction.
2. We process your name, address, and personal identification number, as stated in the contract concluded with us, for the following purposes:
- performance of the contract concluded with you, including activities carried out on your behalf based on the contract;
- fulfilling tax obligations related to the payment of fees;
- drafting documents on your behalf, according to the mandate entrusted to us;
- submitting requests and other documents to courts and other institutions, authorities, organizations, and individuals – in Romania and other countries – as authorized representative or defender, in order to fulfill the mandate entrusted to us;
- fulfilling obligations imposed on lawyers by law;
- fulfilling our professional obligation to maintain a register of contracts concluded by the law firm.
This data will be retained for the duration of maintaining professional legal records.
3. We process your phone number and email address for the following purpose:
- contacting you.

4. We process the data contained in your inquiries and communications to us, as well as data concerning employees and third parties included in documents you bring to our attention, for the following purposes:
- the assertion of your legitimate interest through the exercise of your right to legal assistance and representation;
- the public interest purpose of providing legal services and the realization of the lawyer's legitimate objectives.
This data will be retained for the duration of the contract between you and the lawyer, and thereafter for 6 years in the personal archive of the collaborating lawyer, for the purpose of establishing legal practice.
5. We do not use personal data for automated processing and do not create profiles. We never make automated decisions concerning you. We employ technical means for secure data storage. Data will not be processed for secondary purposes incompatible with the original collection purpose.
6. We strictly adhere to and ensure professional confidentiality. Data will only be disclosed for the purpose of asserting your interests or fulfilling legal obligations. For us, confidentiality is not only a professional obligation for lawyers but also a fundamental value.
7. Annually, we review the collected data, analyzing whether their retention is necessary for the stated purposes, your legitimate interests, or for the lawyer to fulfill their legal obligations. Data that is no longer needed will be deleted.
8. You have the right to access, modify, correct, and port the data you have provided, to restrict our data processing, and even to request the deletion of your data.
Please note that any intervention in the data you provide may hinder the performance of the contract between you and the lawyer. In this case, the lawyer is exempt from liability. Please submit your requests to us in a manner that ensures the verification of the applicant's identity and entitlement.
